Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform various clinical procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and specimen collection.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across settings including hospitals, nursing homes, and outpatient facilities.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and EMR/EHR systems.
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions.
- Implement infection control measures and ensure aseptic techniques are followed during procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning and case management for patients transitioning between care settings.
Experience
- ICU experience (at least one year of experience in specialty)
- Familiarity with Epic System
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) and medical terminology
- Proficiency in performing physical examinations, airway management, venipuncture, phlebotomy, and diagnostic evaluations
