DISTRIBUTION ASSOCIATE II - FORKLIFT – ROMEOVILLE, IL

Hiring a Distribution Associate to assist with warehouse distribution. The best fit is someone that has general warehouse, forklift, shipping / receiving experience. The company is a global manufacturer and distributor of climate control products for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration markets.

This position is 50% Forklift and 50% Packing. Not a straight Forklift operator role.

LOCATION: Romeoville, IL 60446

PAY RATE: 19.50 hour

HOURS: 1st Shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm M-F

                  2nd Shift – 3:00pm – 11:30pm M-F

DUTIES:

·         Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift.

·         Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance.

·         Ensure safe handling of materials and adherence to safety protocols.

·         Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments.

·         Organize and store inventory in designated locations.

·         Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately.

·         Maintain a clean and organized work area.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         High school diploma or equivalent work and education.

·         Valid forklift certification.

·         Previous forklift operating experience preferred.

·         Good communication and teamwork skills.

·         Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

·         Ability to lift and move heavy items.

·         Basic computer skills.

ABILITIES:

·         Knows typical shipping and receiving procedures and can handle some exceptions.

·         Requires basic reading, writing and numerical ability.

·         Valid driver's license with good driving record may be required.

·         Effective verbal communication skills.

·         Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
