SUMMARY:
Programs, sets up and operates conventional, CNC and special purpose machine tools to machine precision metallic and nonmetallic parts.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must have formal machining education or have attended a machining/trade school
- Must be certified or have recognized formal training in machining
- Strong understanding of machining processes and equipment
- Ability to work independently and produce quality work
- Previous professional machining experience preferred
- Maintains company policies and attendance standards.
- Ensures thorough and accurate shift change over communication
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Or a minimum of 5 years of machining experience acquired through a formal apprenticeship program
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities
