Duties
As a Nurse Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments
- Performing diagnostic evaluations and developing treatment plans
- Administering medications and injections as needed
- Managing acute and chronic health conditions, including pain management
- Providing education and health coaching to patients and families
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as urgent care, outpatient clinics, and inpatient facilities
- Utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems for accurate documentation of patient care
- Participating in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
Candidates should have experience or familiarity with the following areas:
- NJ licensed as a Nurse Practitioner
- Experience with out of network providers
- Hands-on experience with outpatient clinical.
- Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, eClinicalWorks for EMR/EHR systems
- Critical care experience including ICU, Level I & II trauma center experience
- Gastroenterology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine
- Experience with children in pediatrics or neonatal care
- Assisted living, nursing home experience, or hospice & palliative medicine
- Skills in suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, phlebotomy, and venipuncture
- Knowledge of medical terminology including ICD-9/ICD-10 coding
- Familiarity with telehealth practices and utilization management
- Experience administering esthetic treatments such as botulinum toxin and dermal fillers
