Automotive Service Quality & Dispatch Coordinator

Staff DFW
Haltom, TX Full Time
POSTED ON 8/12/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 9/11/2026

We're a mobile mechanic shop bringing vehicle repair and maintenance directly to our

customers — no waiting rooms, no towing hassles. We're looking for a detail-driven

Workflow/QA Coordinator to keep our daily operations running smoothly and our repair

quality consistently high, whether jobs are automotive experience preferred or general

mechanical background.

Position Overview

The Workflow/QA Coordinator manages the day-to-day flow of jobs through our shop

and mobile fleet — making sure work orders move efficiently from intake to completion,

technicians have what they need to do the job right, and every repair meets our quality

standards before it's closed out. This role acts as the quality-control checkpoint between

scheduling, technicians, and customers, catching issues before they become problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily workflow across all active jobs, ensuring work orders are progressing on schedule
  • Review completed work orders for accuracy, completeness, and quality before closeout
  • Conduct quality checks on repairs and service documentation, flagging inconsistencies or incomplete work
  • Coordinate with technicians to resolve delays, missing parts, or job complications in real time
  • Prioritize and re-sequence daily job queues based on urgency, parts availability, and technician capacity
  • Maintain and update job status in the shop management system throughout the day
  • Identify recurring quality issues or workflow bottlenecks and report trends to management
  • Verify that documentation (photos, notes, parts used, labor time) is complete and accurate for each job
  • Communicate with the scheduling team to flag jobs that need follow-up appointments or additional time
  • Support root-cause reviews when a comeback or customer complaint occurs
  • Help maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality checklists
  • Assist with onboarding/training technicians on quality standards and
  • documentation expectations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or automotive certification a plus
  • 2 years of experience in automotive service, quality assurance, workflow coordination, or a related operational role
  • Working knowledge of automotive repair processes and terminology strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to catch errors or gaps in documentation
  • Comfortable using shop management software, digital work order systems, and basic office software
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills — able to track multiple jobs at once
  • Clear communicator who can give constructive feedback to technicians professionally
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to catching issues early
  • Ability to stay composed and adjust priorities as the day's workflow shifts

What We Offer

  • Consistent schedule with room for growth into operations or quality management roles
  • Supportive, close-knit team environment
  • Opportunity to shape quality standards at a growing mobile service business
