Cherry Picker Operator

Job Summary:
The Cherry Picker Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely operating a cherry picker (order picker) forklift to retrieve, transport, and stage products within a warehouse environment. This role supports daily warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, inventory control, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a cherry picker forklift to pick, pull, and stage orders at various heights
• Accurately select products based on pick tickets, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Load and unload materials from racks, shelves, and trucks
• Perform inventory counts and assist with cycle counting as needed
• Inspect equipment daily and report any maintenance or safety issues
• Ensure all orders are picked accurately and meet quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures
• Assist with general warehouse duties such as packing, labeling, and shipping

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous warehouse experience required (order picking preferred)
• Experience operating a cherry picker or order picker forklift required
• Ability to work at heights (up to 20–40 feet)
• Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods
• Ability to work at elevated heights
• Must be able to wear required safety equipment (harness, helmet, etc.)

Work Environment:

• Warehouse setting with varying temperatures (hot/cold)
• Exposure to moving machinery and equipment
• May require overtime, weekends, or shift work

Preferred Skills:

• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Basic computer skills
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
