SBMA is currently seeking an Account Manager I to join our growing team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage client accounts, either as a hybrid role or for a specific account as assigned.
- Communicate in a clear, professional, and tactful manner.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
- Handle inbound/outbound calls from clients, brokers, and GAs
- Provide information and support to resolve customer inquiries and issues.
- Verify client coverage & plan-related questions as needed.
- Scan, email, and manage documents as needed.
- Process ID card requests.
- Serve as a backup for COBRA administration, including enrollments, answering rate questions, and ensuring timely processing.
- Perform daily office tasks such as Outlook inbox management.
- Assist with eligibility, enrollment, implementation, renewal, and annual review processes.
- Manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Collaborate well in a team environment.
- Health and Life Insurance License preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment.
- If licensed, respond to call center calls year-round as they come in.
- Participate in special projects and complete other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year Insurance experience required.
- Minimum of 1-year Medical Benefits-related experience required.
- Minimum of 1-year prior experience with benefits/eligibility portals required.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Education and Experience:
- 1 Years of prior insurance experience, required
- High school diploma or the recognized equivalent, required
- 1 years of prior medical benefits-related insurance experience, required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge)
- 1 years of prior experience working in an administrative/office setting
Other Qualifications:
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well independently on assigned duties and collaborate effectively with a team
- Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
