The Ithaca College Department of Writing invites applications for part-time lecturers for the 2025-2026 academic year. Primarily, we seek candidates with a commitment to inclusive excellence and experience teaching academic writing. We also seek candidates with experience teaching fiction, and/or poetry.

Required Qualifications:

  • MFA or Ph.D. in appropriate degree in related field. (ABDs with significant undergraduate teaching experience will be considered.)

All bargaining unit faculty members shall be covered by the collective bargaining agreement between Ithaca College and Services Employees International Union, Local 200 United. Part-time or adjunct bargaining unit employees are all part-time faculty employed by Ithaca College at its Ithaca, New York campus including but not limited to faculty in the titles of Lecturer or Adjunct. Hiring rate:  $1,999.27 per credit hour.
