What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Assistant position at Stadium Place Nursing & Rehab Center?
The Recreation Assistant supports in the coordination and implementation of the center’s on-going schedule of meaningful recreational activities designed to meet the physical, mental, cultural, spiritual, emotional, and psychosocial interests of each resident in accordance with company policies and procedure as well as local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains organized, clean, and safe work area, including activity rooms and common areas. Manages time, projects, and records effectively. Attend and actively participate in meetings as requested. Ensure all mandatory training is completed on time. Assists with new-hire orientation, training, in-services, and staff meetings as needed. Participates in the department’s Quality Assurance and Process Improvement (QAPI) program and assists in resolving any issues identified as part of the QAPI process. Reports all instances of suspected abuse or neglect or other concerns to management. Recognize abnormal signs and symptoms, which may signify a physical change in any resident’s condition that could require nursing intervention; report the same to charge nurse immediately. Maintain confidentiality of all resident information. Performs other duties as necessary for the successful operation of the healthcare center.
