Qualifications:
●Massachusetts Department of Education Teacher Licensure: Reading, All Levels
●Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement required
●Bilingual Preferred
Responsibilities:
●Provide targeted reading instruction to students performing significantly below grade level
●Assess student strengths, challenges, and interests to inform instruction and increase engagement
●Utilize a range of assessment tools; analyze results to guide daily instruction
●Instruct small group intervention classes
●Collaborate with staff to develop and implement focused interventions
●Regularly monitor student progress to promote academic growth
●Design responsive instruction in collaboration with Special Education and EL staff
●Implement evidence-based lessons to improve student outcomes in reading
●Support content area teachers in selecting appropriate reading materials
●Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
●Align instruction with Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and WIDA standards
●Maintain communication with families regarding student progress and resources
●Actively contribute to a positive school culture and climate
●Demonstrate respect for and commitment to diversity
●Perform additional duties as assigned by administration
