What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant, Psychiatry position at Stacy Greeter, MD?
The office of Dr. Stacy Greeter is seeking a full-time physician assistant. We are a child and adult psychiatry private practice with one psychiatrist and a small team of physician assistants who provide conscientious care to patients as they grow into their best selves. We are committed to creating a collaborative, supportive, and fun working environment.
We encourage you to apply if you have a strong curiosity about psychiatry, and want to practice in a way that centers the practitioner/patient relationship, with extensive time spent with each patient. Our PAs receive ongoing mentorship and support with tough clinical cases and full access to Dr. Stacy Greeter, who loves teaching psychiatry to anyone who will listen!
This position will work Monday through Friday, for 8-9 hours each day. Your schedule will be flexible: If you need to take an occasional morning or afternoon off, just block it on the calendar.
Compensation and caseload:
We will guarantee your income at $4,000 per two-week period during your first three months, paying you any difference beyond what you work.
This is an hourly position. You'll be paid for your patient-contact hours (at the advertised rate), plus one paid administrative hour (at $50/hour) for every five hours of patient time. Your annual pay will vary depending on how many patients you prefer to see, but should range between $105,000 and $130,000 (higher if you have previous psychiatric experience). Median patient hours per week are 30-35.
You'll be stepping into an established caseload. This role replaces one of our current PAs, and we expect most of their patients to remain with the practice and transition to your care. You will likely not have a full patient caseload right away, but this should improve after three months of outreach. All of our PAs have a full patient caseload.
During your first three months, you'll spend about five hours per week on outreach, primarily meeting with local therapists to introduce yourself and build referral relationships. If you work beyond your guaranteed income (see above), we'll pay you extra for this time at the clinical rate.
Ideally, we'd like you to start working with us in late October or sooner, but we are flexible.
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
