Journeyman HVAC Installer - Commercial Construction40 hour plus OT as neededDay ShiftOur client is an established full mechanical contractor based in Boise, Idaho. Their services include designing, installing and servicing HVAC systems for primarily commercial, industrial and institutional clients. The Journeyman HVAC Installer works closely with the Lead and construction teams including HVAC, Plumbing and Service. This position reports to the HVAC Field Supervisor. Primary ResponsibilitiesWork on a variety of piping types: Copper, PVC, Cast Iron, Carbon SteelUse and review drawings, BIM modeling, shop/fabrication drawings to plan scope of work, review specifications, troubleshoot and make correctionsComplete pre work task planning with an emphasis on proper job site safety procedures, PPE requirements, and evaluating job hazardsPerform start-ups, works with factory start up within needed and perform project team commissioning when requiredProduce as-build drawings for work performedFoster a collaborative team environment Required Skills and ExperienceExperience as Journeyman HVAC Install Technician to include piping installation in an industrial or commercial settingStrong knowledge installing and troubleshooting all types of HVAC and mechanical systemsInterpret trade related drawing, specifications, shop fabrication drawings, manufacturers installation instructions review, and coordinate with other tradesDetail-oriented, organized with excellent time management skills Effective communicatorRefrigerant Handler Certification OSHA Certifications - 30 hour minimum preferredCurrently possess or able to get Idaho Journeyman License Physical RequirementsFrequently sits, stands, and walksFrequently bends/stoops, reaches above/below shoulder level, kneels, and squatsFrequently climbs ladders and lift/carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds is required
