Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Grinding Specialist, located in Indianapolis, IN. The Grinding Specialist will be responsible for operating manual heald grinders along with programing and running a Studer S33 to produce precision parts, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, setting up and maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with team members to meet production schedules and continuously improving work processes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating grinding equipment and understanding of machine setup procedures
- Knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Experience with precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) and maintaining tolerances
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Prior experience in a machining or manufacturing setting
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are a plus
