Bartender

Stable Craft Brewing is seeking part-time bartenders in our taproom. If you are reliable, responsible, outgoing and a TEAM LEADER with a proven track record in the restaurant/hospitality industry, we want to hear from you.
Stable Craft is located in Waynesboro, VA.

Bartender Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify patron identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements
• Immediately welcomes and greet all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness.
• Shares knowledge of our homegrown hops, craft beer, and sustainable practices
• Communicates our Stable Craft Brewing mission in a positive manner
• Provides excellent customer service to all guests, with the goal of engaging the guest in conversation, creating regulars, and maximizing the customer experience.
• Facilitates educational tours about our farm history, brewery, and sustainable practices
• Learn to operate the point of sales (POS) system and use it to take guest orders accurately
• Checks in with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their experience
• Communicates guests concerns in a timely manner with Taproom management
• Reports any equipment problems and bar maintenance issues
• Assists with function set-up and breakdown and other special event needs
• Maintains comfort and cleanliness throughout the bar and bartender work area, including tables, public areas, glassware, utensils, etc.
• Performs end of the closing duties w/o direction; daily sales reports and report tips
• Follow checklists and standard operating procedures.
• Performs other brewery duties as assigned and requested
• Reports directly to the Brewpub Manager

Bartender Qualifications

• Bartender must be 21 with experience in the hospitality industry
• Friendly, personable, ability to build rapport with guests
• Positive and professional attitude
• Ability and desire to work in a team setting
• Willingness to learn the art & science of craft brewing and our Stable Craft beers
• Experience with operating a POS system and ability to learn Toast POS quickly
• Opening duties and closing duties based on per shift assignments
• Industry experience and reliable work history
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible work schedule, evenings, weekends, occasional holiday
• Hourly plus tips

Bartenders will serve as Stable Craft Brewing sales representatives and have the potential to earn between $300 - $800 per week ($14/hr - $24/hr on average).
