Ace Controls, a leader in velocity controls, is seeking a Shipping Clerk. This role has the responsibility and authority to verify and keep records of outgoing shipments and prepares items for domestic and international shipment by performing the following duties.

- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items for outgoing shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, or other records.
- Determines method of shipment.
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
- Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
- Inserts items into containers.
- Stamps, stencils or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
- Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Follows all procedures and work instructions.
- Handles all parts or materials carefully to avoid damage or personal injury.
- Uses computer to access information concerning location, lot number, part count status, or the due dates of orders.
- Keeps all work areas clean and free of obstructions.
- Performs all tasks with the highest regard to inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Shipping experience is preferred, but other acceptable experience includes: warehouse, stockroom and receiving in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- The employee must be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs. and frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs.
