Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and results-driven Floor Manager to support our FLETC contract. This is a hands-on leadership position working the night shift from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking charge, holding employees accountable, and ensuring work is completed correctly, efficiently, and on schedule.
We are looking for a manager who means business… someone who can set clear expectations, lead by example, address problems promptly, and maintain a professional and productive work environment. The successful candidate must also be a strong team player who can communicate effectively with employees, management, and the customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of assigned employees and work areas.
- Develop and maintain employee work schedules to ensure proper staffing and contract coverage.
- Coordinate daily assignments and adjust staffing as operational needs change.
- Train new and existing employees on job duties, procedures, safety requirements, and contract expectations.
- Conduct regular Quality Control (QC) inspections to ensure work meets company and contract standards.
- Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
- Document training, inspections, employee performance, scheduling, and other required operational information.
- Hold employees accountable for attendance, performance, quality, productivity, and workplace conduct.
- Communicate expectations clearly and professionally.
- Work closely with other supervisors, managers, and team members to accomplish contract requirements.
- Address day-to-day operational issues and escalate significant concerns to management when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required.
- Assist management with improving efficiency, quality, accountability, and overall contract performance.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available to work the night shift from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other commonly used office applications.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Must have extensive floor-care experience and a strong working knowledge of the proper care, maintenance, and restoration of various floor surfaces.
- Ability to train, coach, and develop employees.
- Experience with scheduling and coordinating employee workloads.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform effective quality-control inspections.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to address performance or conduct issues professionally and directly.
- Dependable, punctual, professional, and accountable.
- Must work well as part of a team while also being capable of making decisions and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Pay: From $53,000.00 per year
