Hours
Hours are flexible and can be discussed during an interview
- 2:30pm - 5:00pm
- 2:30 - 5:30pm
- 3:00pm - 5:30pm
- 3 to 5 days a week
Responsibilities
- Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Facilitate engaging activities such as arts and crafts, sports, and educational games that promote childhood development
- Assist with homework support
- Learn effective behavior management techniques
- Support classroom management by maintaining organized activity areas and encouraging respectful interactions among children
- Provide basic first aid when necessary and communicate any health concerns to supervisors promptly
- Collaborate with director of extended care regarding child behavior and any other concerns
Skills
- Ability to implement engaging activities related to sports coaching, or other extracurricular interests
- Compassionate approach to working with children with diverse needs, including special education considerations
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, teachers, and team members
