St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester in Harrison, New York is seeking an experienced Security Officer for a per diem weekend and a full time position. The officer is responsible for maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors including monitoring persons who enter the clinic and controlling access to sensitive areas. Assists management in enforcing safety regulations - aware of building exits and evacuation routes. Responsible for maintaining a sign-in roster at front desk for all visitors. Responsible for conducting building and grounds surveillance on a regular basis to detect and report any safety violations. Responsible for monitoring and documenting patient loitering within a four-block radius. Responsible for conducting periodic and random fire drills. Maintains clear communication with management.
- High School/GED
- Must have at least one (1) year experience in security operations.
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders preferred.
- Current New York State Security Officer Certification
Pay: $21.44 per hour
