What are the responsibilities and job description for the 4th Grade Elementary School Teacher position at St. Vincent Ferrer School?
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited College or University
- Current Florida Teaching Certificate or Letter of Eligibility.
- Experience in teaching Middle School and/or High School in ELA.
- Excellent classroom management.
- Must engage in departmental and interdepartmental curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Must be available for consultation before and after the school day at the request of the Pastor/Principal.
- Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Excellent presentation skills with skills in the use of innovative instructional technologies.
- Excellent oral and written English -language communication skills, including a clear speaking voice.
- Create lesson plans, assessments, assignments, projects according to grade level and meeting Diocesan standards.
- Provide instructional leadership that is relentlessly focused on achieving the highest standards of academic excellence for all students.
- Foster a school community where the Gospel message is lived out, and students are lifted spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally
- Model and nurture a strong Catholic identity for the school.
- Maintain a school environment that is safe, orderly, nurturing, and joyful.
- Work side-by-side with families to promote students’ growth
- To evaluate students and report progress at regular intervals.
- To confer regularly with parents, keeping communication lines open at all levels.

Qualifications:
- Proven success in raising academic achievement for all students.
- At least three years of teaching experience.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in education and have a Florida teaching license or out-of-state certification.
