What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Book Associate position at St. Vincent Depaul Society of Lane County?
SCHEDULE: 5x 8 HR shift, must have weekend availability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process donated books by condition and shelve by genre as well as in alphabetical order by author’s last name.
- Provide customer service to shoppers in the book department.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Work in a fast paced, team environment.
- Bend, twist, lift, Maneuver up to 40 pounds of merchandise.
- This list is not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Self-motivated, organized and work as part of a team
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Stand for 8 hours
- Push and pull up to 40 lbs.
