SummaryThe Security Officer II shall perform access control functions and patrols throughout all Father Joe Villages facilities. Qualified personnel will possess characteristics and traits, such as self-control, patience, self-discipline, maturity, attention to detail, and a neat and professional appearance. The individual must be of unquestionable integrity, display a mature, responsible attitude and exercise good judgment. He/she shall actively support and uphold the agency's stated mission, vision and values.Essential FunctionsPatrols assigned areas and respond to calls for assistance, conduct crowed control during special events and as necessaryRespond to emergency situations (e.g. fire, bomb threat, or natural disaster) to clear the facility if deemed necessaryEnsure all individuals entering the facilities conform to all stated rules and regulations.Report incidents, safety hazards and/or violations to supervisor as soon as practical utilizing a two-way radio or other communication method such as email or phoneRecord all incidents occurring during the shift and complete incident reports in a timely mannerCompletion of assigned training and policy review and acknowledgmentPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDCA Guard Card certificationBasic user of MS office Be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience; possesses a valid California driver's license; and has no Class 1 or more than two Class 2 violations within the past 36 monthsCandidate must have a minimum of one (1) year security experience Effective oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completionProblem-solving skills with an analytical thought processAbility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment Able to work with flexible schedule due to department needsThe Pay Rate for this role is based on several factors including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and internal equity. The initial offer usually falls between the minimum and midpoint of the applicable salary range. Pay Band N4: $23.90 – $31.43 (Midpoint: $26.80)
