Medication Access Program Pharmacy Technician
Hours: Full-time, 7:30am-4pm, non-exempt
Scope of Position: The Medication Access Program Pharmacy Technician will collaborate with pharmacists to process medication donations in Ohio’s first medication repository and distribution center. This position will implement processes for the safe, effective, and efficient intake and distribution of medication donations for the purpose of improving medication access to neighbors in need served by Ohio’s Charitable Healthcare Network of free clinics and charitable pharmacies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership to process medication donations from long-term care pharmacies, nursing homes, and individuals, including sorting, inventorying, and cataloguing donations
- Assist in coordinating medication distribution to fulfill medication orders from Ohio’s free clinics and charitable pharmacies
- Participate in quality improvement processes to further advance program goals
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal, written and oral communication. Experience in data management. Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds in a faith-based setting. Certified/Registered pharmacy technician preferred, but will consider on-site training with requirement to pass pharmacy technician examination within 18 months of hire.
Work Environment: Staff member will primarily work in a warehouse environment, adequately lighted, heated and ventilated in Milford, Ohio.
Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, bending, carrying items up to 35 lbs, driving an automobile
