St. Thomas University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions supporting the Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology (MS IDT) and the EdD specialization in Digital Instruction & Distance Education. These contract-based, non-salaried positions involve teaching, curriculum development, and doctoral dissertation mentorship.
Role Responsibilities:
- Teach graduate-level courses in the MS IDT and EdD in Digital Instruction & Distance Education programs.
- May contribute to course development and revision aligned with program goals.
- Serve as Dissertation Chair or Committee Member, providing expert guidance through the research process.
- Collaborate with program leadership to support academic innovation and student success.

The MS IDT and EdD specialization are designed for professionals seeking to lead and innovate in the field of online learning and instructional design. Courses emphasize heutagogy, ethical AI integration, microlearning, and evidence-based instructional strategies to meet the evolving needs of 21st-century learners.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., or equivalent) in Instructional Design, Performance Improvement, Educational Technology, or a closely related field.
- Experience in consulting, systems design, and instructional technology integration strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to design and teach asynchronous online courses, with preference for candidates experienced in adult and professional learning environments.
- Proficiency in instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.), performance improvement, and AI-enhanced instructional strategies.
- Experience teaching quantitative research methods at the graduate level is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Quality Matters standards and accreditation-aligned course development is a plus.
