Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Spanish Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging language instruction, fostering cultural understanding, and supporting student development in a dynamic learning environment. The Spanish Teacher will play a vital role in promoting literacy, language proficiency, and critical thinking among 5-8th grade students.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and educational goals.
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction utilizing innovative learning technology and instructional design techniques.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations.
- Incorporate creative writing, literacy education, and linguistics principles to enhance language acquisition.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment conducive to student success.
- Provide individualized support to students requiring additional assistance.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, research initiatives, and school-wide projects.
- Mentor students in their academic growth and personal development through guidance and counseling.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and instructional activities in compliance with school policies.
- Engage with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address concerns proactively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher; teaching certification preferred.
- Proven experience teaching Spanish; private school experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools, classroom management strategies, and special education accommodations.
- Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners.
- Experience with curriculum development, standardized testing preparation, and academic advising.
Pay: $20,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
