Summary
St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking to fill the position of Director of Operations. This is a leadership position, responsible for the efficient and effective administration of the financial condition, physical plant and human resources of the parish campus. This position reports to the Pastor.
Essential Duties
- Oversee general operations of the church and school.
- Manage parish office staff.
- Serve as onsite HR director.
- Manage and direct all accounting functions such as accounts payable, general ledger activity, and financial reporting.
- Manage and oversee the daily and project related maintenance and repair of all buildings, grounds, and mechanical systems throughout the campus.
- Oversee the human resources needs of the parish and school including payroll, benefits, recruiting, and onboarding.
- Prepare, administer and review budget process in collaboration with the Pastor and Ministry leaders.
- Manage the office administrative function and staff in a variety of roles.

Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or business administration.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in accounting, business operations or related field.
- Intermediate to advanced skill level in Accounting and Database Software.
- Supervisory/management experience.
- Active Catholic in good standing is preferred, though familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is required.
