Job Overview
St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover, NH is seeking a long-term substitute SCIENCE TEACHER, to cover a family leave, for grades 9-12 for Semester 1 of the 2026-2027 school year: August-December. This position will include sections of Chemistry. The ideal candidate will:
● possess a strong subject background, teaching experience, and a solid understanding of high school curriculum in Chemistry.
● share a vision for integrating STEM education.
● bring enthusiasm, energy, and passion to the classroom setting through a variety of teaching and learning practices.
● connect positively with both students and families.
● support the Catholic mission of the school and engage fully in the life of the school community.
● demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
● explore collaborative and interdisciplinary teaching relationships with colleagues.
Education and Experience
● A Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Chemistry) or related field is required, with a Master’s degree preferred.
● High school teaching experience is preferred.
● Possession of New Hampshire state certification in appropriate subject area and/or the ability to work toward state certification.

● establishes positive public relations within and outside the school community.
● commits to ongoing professional learning and growth.
