Summary of the Job:
The Imaging Services Navigation Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and optimization of all patient-navigation and communication workflows within Imaging Services. This role ensures timely follow-up, patient preparation, documentation, and communication across multiple imaging programs including breast imaging, lung cancer screening, incidental findings, and AI-supported pathways. The Supervisor leads a team of navigators and serves as a central point of coordination to improve patient satisfaction, care continuity, and operational efficiency. Ensure and promotion of the CARES standards within the imaging department including investigation and follow up on patient issues, complaints, and concerns. This individual acts as an extension to the Imaging Services Manager. Additional duties are outlined under specific job duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited radiology technology program. A.R.R.T. registered in Radiology and state licensed in radiology by the LSRT required; post modality certification and multimodality background knowledge preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of imaging experience required. Must maintain compliance with the CE and exams performed requirements of their certifying organization.
Must possess strong critical thinking, guest relations, and decisive leadership skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with patients of all types and ages. Must make decisions and organize system procedures to make the most effective and economical use of resources.
Physical Demands:
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
Physical Effort required:
Constant (67%-100%) – lifting, hearing, seeing
Frequently (34%-66%) - carrying, pushing/pulling, handling/feeling, talking
Occasionally (1%-33%) - climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), balancing, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching
