POSITION SUMMARY
St. Rose School, a faith-filled Catholic elementary school committed to academic excellence and spiritual growth, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. The successful candidate will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports students' academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development. The Kindergarten Teacher will foster a love of learning while integrating Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and classroom activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with school curriculum and state standards.
- Create a positive, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Support the intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth of students.
- Integrate Catholic teachings and values throughout the curriculum and daily interactions.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of achievement.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to support school goals and initiatives.
- Participate in school liturgies, faith formation activities, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain classroom organization and effective classroom management practices.
- Support and uphold the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification/licensure (or ability to obtain certification).
- Experience teaching kindergarten or primary grades preferred.
- Practicing Catholic preferred; candidates of all faith backgrounds who support the mission of Catholic education are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering academic excellence and faith formation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, faculty, and administration.
