Position Overview
The middle school theology teacher works on a team of middle-level educators in grades 6-8 to cultivate an exceptional educational program specifically providing sound instructional leadership in theology and strong student formation in Christian and Sacred Heart spirituality.
With a content knowledge of and ability to teach Old Testament Theology, Christology, Catholicism and World Religions, the ideal educator will inspire students to grow in faith, knowledge and service. The educator will work with administration to strengthen and implement an excellent academic theology program and active campus ministry program for middle school learners.
The middle school theology teacher will help animate the Charism of our Sacred Heart identity through educational offerings that engage learners with the spirituality and history of the Religious of the Sacred Heart.
The middle school theology teacher will implement and advance a middle school Christian Service program to help our students put faith into action.
The middle school theology teacher will serve as campus minister on a school ministry team to assist with planning and engaging young people in exciting, meaningful ministry opportunities.
Alongside all educators at Saint Philomena School of the Sacred Heart, this individual will contribute to building up the culture and well-functioning of the school by supporting general duties, serving as a homework hall teacher and contributing to the electives and activities programs.
