St. Philip Lutheran School (2500 W Bryn Mawr Ave, Chicago) is a private PreK - 8th day school bordering the Arcadia Terrace/West Ridge neighborhood – a lovely residential area on the far north side of Chicago.

We seek a Classroom Teacher in the areas of ELA and Social Studies for the upcoming Academic Year (to begin August 2026).
Main Responsibilities:
- Nurture the JOY of learning and a passion for ELA and social studies, every day!
- Plan and execute lessons well; administer appropriate assessments and grade accordingly; communicate grades accordingly
-Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
-Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity of instruction
Skills:
- Knowledge of child development and educational principles
- Some experience working with elementary/middle school-aged children desired (student teaching acceptable!)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in a small classroom setting
- Familiarity with differentiated teaching strategies is a plus
- As St. Philip is faith-based school, we seek a teacher who is a Christian.
Salary Range - $20K-$25K /annual plus med and retirement benefits
