Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION: Ensures the highest level of cleanliness and safety in all of S.P.Y.C facilities. Promotes excellent public relations and 100% guest satisfaction. Works as a valuable member of a dedicated, professional team. Reports to work as scheduled, in proper uniform, in accordance with the club’s personal appearance standards.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use equipment required for the job
• Willing to work various shifts when necessary.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, 10-30lbs.

Tasks:

• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, sweep and mop classrooms, and other work areas so that all facility standards are met.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
• Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and /or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
• Keep storage areas clean and tidy
• Polish silver and brass accessories and metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
• Perform all duties in a timely and professional manner
• Give recognition to members, when applicable.
• Immediately report to maintenance any damages or loss of items.
• Turn Lost and Found items to Front desk or Manager.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

• Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by any supervisor or manager.

ENVIRONMENT:

Works in all areas of the property, both inside and outside, occasionally in inclement weather. Must be able to work at various heights on ladders, lifts, etc.
