Job Description
The Math Resource Teacher will work with students in grades K–8 who require additional support in mathematics, helping them build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and achieve academic success. The ideal candidate is a compassionate educator who enjoys working with students of varying abilities, collaborates effectively with classroom teachers and families, and is committed to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.
Key Responsibilities
-Provide targeted math instruction and intervention to students in grades K–8 through small-group and individual support.
-Assess student needs and develop instructional strategies that address individual learning goals in mathematics.
-Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify students requiring math intervention and coordinate instructional support.
-Foster a positive, supportive learning environment that builds confidence and promotes student success.
-Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and the administration regarding student progress and instructional plans.
-Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention services.
-Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events.
-Live out the gospel values and teachings of the Catholic Church in teaching and interaction with students and staff
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
-Certification or endorsement in Elementary Education, Mathematics, Special Education, or Reading/Math Intervention preferred.
-Experience providing math intervention, resource support, or differentiated instruction for elementary and middle school students.
-Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
