What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Director position at St. Peter's Lutheran School?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Daycare Director to lead our early childhood program at St. Peter's Lutheran School. This full-time, year-round position provides care and educational programming for preschool-aged children (ages 3-4) during the school day, as well as before- and after-school care for elementary students.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the daycare program, including curriculum planning and implementation
- Supervise and support daycare staff members
- Organize appropriate in-service training and professional development opportunities for staff
- Plan and coordinate extracurricular activities for daycare students
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered learning environment
- Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements and regulations
- Communicate regularly with families regarding their children's progress and daily activities
- Advertise for enrollment and promote the daycare program to prospective families
- Register students throughout the year and manage enrollment processes
- Manage scheduling and program budgets
- Coordinate with the school administration on shared facilities and resources
