As an RN in Acute Care, you will:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Administer medications and treatments, manage IV therapy, and monitor patient responses
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition; escalate appropriately
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
- Document care accurately and in accordance with standards and regulatory requirements
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
- Deliver safe, evidence‑based nursing care aligned to unit standards
- Coordinate care transitions and discharge planning as needed
- Participate in patient safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts
- Support a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous learning
- Current New York State RN license in New York State
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited Nursing program
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required for Nurse Leader positions
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking
- Commitment to patient‑centered care and teamwork
- Acute care experience (Med/Surg, ICU, ED, Tele, etc.)
- BLS required; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit
