Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and engaging Choir Director and pianist to join our music program. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a faith based environment. This role offers an opportunity to share your love of music while inspiring others through teaching, mentorship, and leadership within our community.
Duties
- Direct the choir Sunday mornings and during evening choir practices once a week from September to June
- Coordinate music with the pastor and Worship Committee
- Accompany the choir on piano
- Schedule piano tuning
- Encourage / recruit singers to share their musical talents, join the choir, etc.
Skills
- Some experience in choir directing and accompanying on piano
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire singers
- Communication skills to effectively convey musical concepts and feedback
- Ability to mentor singers, nurturing their confidence and passion for music
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also managing individual lessons effectively
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 8 per week
