What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary School Teacher position at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School?
We’re Hiring, Carefully | St. Paul’s Lutheran School
St. Paul’s Lutheran School is seeking a Christ-centered, high-capacity educator to join a faculty that is intentional, structured, and committed to excellence.
This is not a position for someone simply looking for a classroom.
This is for an educator who understands the weight of the role and is ready to lead it well.
We are building something here—and we are selective about who we bring into it.
The Opportunity
You will step into a school experiencing meaningful growth, clear direction, and a culture built on both academic precision and spiritual formation.
- Small class sizes | 16:1 student-teacher ratio
- Structured classrooms | Clear expectations
- Strong leadership support | You are not on an island
- A mission that is lived daily—not written on a wall
What You Will Do
- Deliver intentional, well-prepared instruction that is rigorous, clear, and differentiated to meet student needs
- Plan ahead | Organized, structured lesson execution is expected
- Integrate Lutheran doctrine and Christian worldview into daily instruction
- Develop students who think critically, communicate clearly, and carry themselves well
- Provide individual support through targeted, one-on-one engagement
- Use assessment and data to guide instruction and improve outcomes
- Partner with parents in a way that is proactive, professional, and consistent
- Contribute to a faculty culture that values preparation, follow-through, and accountability
- Participate in school life beyond the classroom, including events and community engagement.
Who You Are
- A certified educator in Oklahoma
- Experienced (2–3 years preferred), but more importantly, prepared and intentional
- Organized, disciplined, and able to plan instruction in advance
- Strong in classroom management with clear expectations and follow-through
- Able to build relationships with both students and parents with clarity and professionalism
- Confident in integrating faith into instruction without hesitation
- Tech-capable and comfortable using tools that enhance instruction and organization
