St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Smithfield seeks a compassionate, patient, and attentive Nursery Care Provider. Our Nursery is a place where our youngest members of the Body of Christ are introduced to church as a safe and loving place that values them. We aim to create a space for our children to express themselves and grow in their ability to socialize with others.
Purpose
The purpose of a Nursery Care Provider is to:
- Create a welcoming and safe space for all children, infants through Preschool.
- Provide care and activities for children that encourage them to explore, create, play, and care for one another.
- Be a model of kindness and generosity.
Duties
The duties of a Nursery Care Provider are:
- Creating a welcoming and safe space, including
- Maintaining a clean, well-organized, and welcoming nursery.
- Warmly greeting parents and children when they come to the Nursery, ensuring the nursery is a place of joy, play, and friendship.
- Cleaning and disinfecting tables, toys and other surfaces.
- Noticing and carefully addressing the special needs of each child.
- Work collaboratively with church staff and nursery volunteers, including:
- Assisting in all areas, including play, cleaning, teaching, and other activities.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.55 per hour
Expected hours: 3 per week
Schedule:
- Weekends only
