What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant/Toddler Floater Teacher position at St Paul's Child Development Center?
We are an equal opportunity employer looking for a qualified Infant/Toddler Teacher. This teacher will be responsible for the care and education of a group of children between the ages of 6 weeks to 2 years. We are looking for a compassionate, flexible, energetic teacher to work with us. CDA, Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred. High School Diploma is required. Free childcare available for our teacher's children while they are working.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Assist classroom teachers with daily activities for the children.
- Actively supervise and interact with children throughout the program hours.
- Clean up classrooms each day including but not limited to wiping down tables and chairs, sweeping floors, and taking out garbage.
- Cover classroom teachers' breaks and planning times.
- Cover a classroom when a teacher is out.
- Work cooperatively with all staff to ensure children's safety.
Skills:
- Strong classroom management skills to guide children’s behavior constructively
- 2 Years of experience working with children in settings such as childcare, camp, tutoring, or early childhood education
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively
- Excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members
- Passion for working with children
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
