Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Elementary School Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant educational environment. In this role, you will create engaging lesson plans, foster a positive classroom atmosphere, and support students’ academic and social development. This full-time teaching position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children’s educational journeys while working collaboratively with colleagues and engaging with families. This position is for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.
Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative learning technology and creative writing techniques to enhance student engagement.
- Utilize research-based instructional strategies, including differentiated instruction and behavior management, to meet the diverse needs of students, including those requiring special education support.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and NYS testing, and adjust teaching methods accordingly to improve learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral incidents, and communicate progress regularly to parents and guardians.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management, conflict resolution, and mentoring students in social-emotional skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and school-wide initiatives to promote a cohesive learning experience.
- Understanding of Catholic Teaching and Doctrine as the Religion teacher for the grade.
