Dietitian Technician
Come join us at St. Patrick's Manor! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, 303-bed, Short and Long-term care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters. Located on lush, manicured lawns and gardens in Framingham, MA, we are just minutes from Route 9 for easy access to the Mass Pike.
We are looking to hire a Dietitian Technician.
- $18 to $22 per hour based on skills and experience.
- Full-Time.
Dietitian Technician Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- College level nutrition courses not required, but preferred. AS/BS in Nutrition encouraged.
- Food service experience in a long-term care setting strongly preferred.
- Prior experience as a diet tech or strong knowledge of therapeutic diets, mechanically altered diets, and food allergens preferred.
- Computer skills required. Previous experience with Point Click Care Nutrition Management nutrition program a plus. Word and Excel competency a plus.
- Serve Safe Certified Preferred.
Core Competencies:
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills with patients, families, and clinical/culinary staff.
- Able to multitask and concentrate on fine detail with interruptions on a frequent basis.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Dietitian Technician Job Summary:
- Assist residents with menu selection.
- Review menu selections to ensure compliance to preferences, allergies, and prescribed diet.
- Relay relevant information back to the team, working closely with the registered dietitians and food service director.
- Prepare hot and cold production sheets and file accordingly.
- Maintain diet office supplies.
- As requested by Registered Dietitian, visit with patients/residents and obtain preferences/food allergies.
- Conduct meal rounds and test trays.
