- Perform cleaning duties throughout the school premises, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition
- Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting following safe lifting practices
- Maintain cleanliness of classroom floors and bathrooms to uphold high standards of sanitation and appearance
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure environment for staff and students
Requirements
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and sanitation procedures
- Ability to handle cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Experience with chemical agent handling and understanding of chemical safety procedures
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
