Business Intelligence Applications Developer
Position Description: Full time Business Intelligence Applications Developer for a data-driven sales promotions organization.
Starting Hours Required: 40 per week, flexible schedule with opportunities to work remotely.
Salary: Negotiable based on experience.
Objectives of this Role:
This position supports the Operations & Analytics department. The key role of this position is to help create and maintain data housed in SQL to provide enhanced analytics for our clients across various platforms, including Power BI. This role encourages personal and professional growth and development within the company.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of SQL Server or MySQL experience with an understanding of relational database concepts
- Experience simplifying and automating manual tasks
- 3 years of experience with developing professional-looking Power BI reports from scratch and improving existing ones
- Experience working with complex DAX in Power BI
- Experience in updating data feeds for optimal use in Power BI
- Use of modern AI tools to rapidly solve problems and develop solutions
- Experience deploying and maintaining applications in cloud environments such as AWS
- Understanding of how to maintain and deploy code securely
- Strong troubleshooting skills including investigating client issues
- Strong skills in writing SQL, creating packages, leveraging functions, developing stored procedures, and optimizing SQL queries
- Experience with monitoring and optimizing the performance of Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases
- Mobile app development and deployment experience a plus
- Experience analyzing customer-provided flat files and transforming them into data and reports
- Ability to perform website/mobile app modifications as needed by clients and assist with new development
- Self-motivated individual who has demonstrated the ability to work autonomously and with a team while executing independent decision-making abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, critical thinking, and problem solving
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
