Job Description

The Department of Nursing at St. Olaf College invites applications for two part-time (.15 FTE), one-semester positions supervising students in clinical rotations. These positions are for fall semester only (September - December 2026).

One position is needed to supervise senior-level nursing majors at their pediatric rotation at Minneapolis Children’s Medical Center. The other position is to supervise junior-level nursing students during their first clinical rotation at the VA Medical Center. Both positions will be on Tuesday, day shift, and will require faculty to assign patients the morning of clinical, supervise a cohort of nursing students (about 6) directly on the unit, facilitate post-clinical conferences to discuss patient assignments, connect classroom concepts to clinical practice, debrief on challenging patient scenarios, and maintain accountability for patient safety.

Salary: $7,000 - $7,300 per course

Qualifications

The applicant will have current clinical experience in the relevant specialty area and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Master’s Degree is preferred.
