Unarmed Security Officer

Location: Bedford Heights, OH
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Schedule:

• Thursday to Sunday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in Bedford Heights, OH. As an unarmed security officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at a warehouse facility specializing in grocery and perishable goods. Your primary duties will include monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and controlling access to the premises, all while ensuring the protection of people, property, and valuable assets.

This position requires someone with strong attention to detail, excellent observational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. Previous security experience, particularly in a warehouse or logistics setting, is preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of the warehouse facility, both inside and outside, to ensure security and identify potential safety hazards.
• Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment to detect any suspicious activities or security breaches.
• Control access points to the facility, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors.
• Respond to security incidents, disturbances, or emergencies, including assisting with evacuations if necessary.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of security activities, incidents, and other important information.
• Ensure that all security protocols and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Report any unsafe conditions or issues to management promptly.
• Assist in coordinating with local law enforcement or emergency services when needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain an Ohio Guard Card (required).
• Must be able to clear a background check (required).
• Previous security experience preferred, especially in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Ability to remain alert and proactive during long shifts.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and conduct regular patrols.
• Ability to handle security incidents calmly and professionally.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a warehouse facility for grocery and perishable goods, with an emphasis on maintaining the safety and security of goods and employees. The work environment may vary between indoor and outdoor settings, and flexibility is needed to adapt to different security challenges.
