Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer for a Gatehouse Post in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will have prior security experience, maintain high professional standards, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and site procedures.
This role requires a security professional who can effectively monitor access to the property, maintain a visible presence, and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
Responsibilities
- Control and monitor entry and exit at the gatehouse
- Verify visitor credentials and maintain accurate access logs
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence
- Enforce site safety and security policies
- Conduct routine monitoring of the entrance and surrounding areas
- Report incidents, suspicious activity, or safety concerns promptly
- Communicate effectively with management, staff, and visitors
Requirements
- Active NJ SORA Guard Card License (Required)
- Previous security experience required
- Strong professional demeanor and communication skills
- Ability to follow strict safety and security procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to remain alert and attentive during the entire shift
