Job Title: Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Pottsville, PA
Schedule: 1st, 2nd & 3rd shifts open / Full-Time and Part-Time
- 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Pay: $16.32 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in Pottsville, PA. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by performing patrols, monitoring for risks, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform foot, vehicle, bicycle, or golf cart patrols of assigned areas
- Identify and report security risks, safety hazards, or emergency situations
- Monitor premises and enforce site-specific policies and procedures
- Provide customer service and assist visitors, staff, and clients as needed
- Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with company policies
- Complete detailed, accurate, and timely incident reports
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Follow all company standards, including attendance, appearance, and conduct
- Participate in required training and orientation programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of work experience preferred (security, law enforcement, military, or customer service)
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Customer service-focused with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Must be dependable with reliable transportation
Requirements
- Must pass a background check and drug screening (if required)
- Must possess any required state licenses/permits for security work
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record may be required
- Ability to operate a vehicle, golf cart, or bicycle if needed
- Must maintain all required certifications throughout employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior military or law enforcement experience
- Previous experience in the security industry
