Location: Crest Hill, IL
Job Type: Part-Time | Weekends Schedule:
- Saturday - 8:00pm-8:00am
- Sunday - 7:00pm-5:00am
** Occasional Friday and holiday shifts may be optional or required based on operational needs **
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
We are seeking a professional, observant, and detail-oriented Logistics Warehouse Security Officer to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the safety, security, and operational efficiency of a busy warehouse and distribution facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access for employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers.
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of warehouse floors, storage areas, yard space, and docks.
- Monitor security cameras, alarms, and other surveillance systems.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, alarms, or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, visitor/truck entries, and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with staff, management, and incoming officers during shift hand-offs.
Required Qualifications
- Illinois 20-Hour Unarmed Security Training Certificate
- Active Illinois PERC License
- Previous security experience, preferably in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or industrial settings
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; must clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, indoors and outdoors
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional, calm, and dependable in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment
- Ability to accurately document activities and follow established procedures
