Armed Security Officer
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Position Type: Full-Time | Part-Time
Compensation: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a professional and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This position requires a highly dependable individual with strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and a professional presence. Officers are expected to maintain a safe and secure environment while representing our organization with professionalism and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a secure presence at assigned location
- Deter criminal activity and enforce property policies
- Conduct routine patrols of premises
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents or emergencies
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports
- Coordinate with property management and local authorities when necessary
Requirements
- Current ACT 235 Certification (Pennsylvania Lethal Weapons Training Act)
- Valid Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms
- Personal firearm
- Duty belt and required armed gear
- Reliable transportation
- Prior armed security experience required
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to stand and/or patrol for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in residential, commercial, or high-end property security
- Military or law enforcement background (preferred but not required)
