Job Skills / Requirements
Act 235 Armed Security Officer
Location: Johnstown, PA
Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour
Schedule:Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week
- Wednesday – Saturday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Sunday & Monday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Tuesday: Off

We are currently seeking a dedicated Act 235 Armed Security Officer to join our growing security team in the Johnstown, PA area. This full-time position offers a consistent schedule, steady hours, and opportunities for additional overtime. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patrols of the facility and surrounding property
- Monitor access points and control authorized entry and exit
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity
- Observe, document, and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and policy violations
- Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, emergencies, and incidents
- Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Interact professionally with staff, visitors, contractors, and emergency personnel
Qualifications
- Prior security experience is preferred but not required
- Strong observation, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain alert, professional, and dependable during overnight shifts
- Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and sound judgment
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Requirements
- Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Armed Certification
- Ability to successfully pass a background investigation
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to and from the work location
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Must be capable of working overnight shifts as scheduled
