Job Title: Armed Security Officer
Location: Pittsburgh
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday | 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and experienced Armed Security Officer to provide overnight security services in Central Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate is dependable, alert, and capable of responding effectively to incidents while maintaining a strong customer service presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols of assigned property
- Monitor for and report security threats, hazards, or unusual activity
- Respond to incidents in accordance with Post Orders and Use of Force Policy
- Complete detailed, accurate, and legible incident reports
- Enforce site-specific policies and procedures
- Provide professional customer service and maintain a visible security presence
- Follow all company policies, attendance standards, and grooming guidelines
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 3–5 years of professional experience preferred (security, law enforcement, or military highly desired)
- Strong report-writing and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and de-escalate tense situations
- Reliable transportation required
Required Certifications & Equipment
- Current ACT 235 Certification (required)
- Level 2 retention holster or higher
- Duty belt
- Personally owned firearm
- Prior armed security experience required
Additional Requirements
- Must successfully pass background investigation and drug/alcohol screening
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on assignment
- Must meet all client and company-specific requirements
